1- To prepare the pie crust: in a bowl combine the flour with the salt. Add the butter and blend the ingredients using a fork until crumbly.
2- Pour in half of the water and beat well. Add the rest of the water gradually. Mix until the dough holds together. Leave to rest for 15 minutes.
3- Flatten the dough on a floured surface using a rolling pin to form a circle. Place it onto a pie pan and press to fit. Trim the edges.
4- Layer the chopped onion with tomato and basil at the bottom of the pie crust.
5- In a bowl, combine the cheese with American Garden mayonnaise, American Garden hot sauce and black pepper. Spread the mixture over the tomatoes.
6- Place the halved cherry tomatoes on top and bake at 180˚C for 25-30 minutes.
