Pizza pasta bake recipe

In this recipe, your favorite pasta is tossed in a pizza sauce, topped with olives, pepperonis and shredded cheese then baked until all melty and delicious.

Ingredients

  • 400g macaroni pasta

  • ½ cup basil leaves, chopped

  • ½ cup American Garden sliced black olives

  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil

  • 2 cloves crushed garlic

  • 2 Tsp. Italian seasoning

  • 1 cup American Garden Diced Tomatoes

  • ¼ cup American Garden sliced mushrooms

  • 1 diced onion

  • 2 Tbsp. American Garden ketchup

  • 2 cups American Garden Pizza Sauce

  • Salt-to-taste

  • Black pepper-to-taste

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella

  • 50g pepperoni slices

Preparation

  • Cook the pasta according to package’s directions. Drain and set aside.

  • In a pan, heat the oil. Sauté the garlic with the Italian seasoning for 3 minutes, then add the onion and basil leaves; cook for 2 minutes.

  • Add diced tomatoes, olives and mushrooms; cook for 10 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Stir in the ketchup and pizza sauce.

  • Add the cooked pasta and toss with the sauce. Transfer to a baking dish. Cover with shredded Mozzarella cheese and top with pepperoni slices.

  • Bake until cheese melts and serve hot.
