Meat casserole

Ingredients

  • 1kg boneless beef chuck cut into cubes

  • 1 finely chopped onion

  • 2 sliced carrots

  • 1 can American Garden crushed tomatoes

  • 3 cups meat stock

  • 1 tbsp American Garden mustard

  • 1 tsp curry powder

  • 2 tbsp flour

  • 2 tbsp American Garden Worcestershire sauce

  • 2 bay leaves

  • 2 tsp garlic powder

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 cups water

Preparation

  • In a casserole, heat 1 tablespoon of oil and brown the meat for 5 minutes from all sides. Transfer to a plate.

  • In the same casserole, heat the rest of the oil and fry the onion until translucent.

  • Add the meat then pour the water and the stock.

  • In a bowl, mix the mustard with the curry, flour and Worcestershire sauce until combined.

  • Add the mixture to the casserole with canned tomatoes, carrot slices, bay leaves and garlic powder. Bring the ingredients to a boil.

  • Cover the lid and simmer for an hour.

  • Serve hot.
