Ingredients

  • 1 cup of unsweetened pineapple juice

  • ¾ cup of American Garden’s Original ketchup

  • ½ cup of American Garden’s Original BBQ sauce

  • ½ cup of American Garden’s Classic Soy Sauce

  • ½ cup of brown sugar

  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon of freshly minced ginger

  • 500 grams of boneless skinless chicken breasts

  • 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil (have more oil ready for the grill)

  • 1 pineapple sliced into halved rings (you may use canned pineapple if it’s out of season)

  • ¼ cup of thinly sliced green onions

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine pineapple juice, American Garden’s ketchup, American Garden’s original BBQ sauce, American Garden’s classic soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger.

  • Pour the marinade over the chicken in a large resealable plastic bag. Allow marinating in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours and up to overnight.

  • When ready to grill, heat the grill to high. Grill the chicken, basting it with the marinade until browned and cooked through, about 8 minutes per side.

  • Toss pineapple with oil and grill for 2 minutes per side or until browned.

  • Garnish with green onions before serving. Yum!
