Penne in Tomato Mushroom Sauce

Accompanied with a meatless mushroom tomato sauce and flavored with the unique Italian seasoning, this penne pasta is a great delight for everybody to enjoy!

  • 6 Tomatoes, medium-sized, ripe red

  • 2 Onions, medium-sized, sliced or chopped

  • 300 g American Garden Mushrooms, sliced

  • 6 cloves Garlic, crushed

  • 1 tsp. Black pepper ground

  • 2 tsp. Italian seasoning

  • 1 tsp. Oregano

  • 1 Tbsp. Chopped Basil

  • 4 American Garden Green Olives

  • 4 American Garden Black Olives

  • 3 Tbsp. Extra virgin olive oil

  • Salt-to-taste

  • To prepare pasta:

  • 250 g Penne

  • 4 cups Water

  • Salt-to-taste


  • To make the penne pasta, boil water with salt in a pan.

  • Add penne and cook for 6-7 minutes.

  • Drain pasta and leave aside.

  • To make the tomato mushroom sauce, heat olive oil in a pan. Add onions and fry them until light brown. Add garlic and fry for an additional minute. Add tomatoes and sauté them till soft. Season with herbs, salt and pepper.

  • Simmer sauce over low heat for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  • Add the mushrooms and sprinkle with basil.

  • Pour sauce over pasta, leave to boil then serve immediately.
