This is definitely one of the kids’ favorite meal. You can serve it alone or with spaghetti. To add a little touch, sprinkle some cheese on top!

Ingredients

  • 500 g Ground Beef
  • ½ Tsp. ground cumin
  • 1 Tbsp. Rosemary leaves
  • 1 Egg Yolk
  • 4 Tbsp. Olive Oil
  • 1 Tbsp. Basil leaves
  • 50 g Mozzarella Cheese or Parmesan Cheese
  • Salt-to-taste
  • Pepper-to-taste
  • 250 g fresh Tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. Tomato paste
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, crushed
  • 1 Tsp. Oregano
  • 1 Tsp. Paprika Powder
  • 1Tbsp. American Garden Mustard
  • 2 Tbsp. American Garden Breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. 1. In a big bowl, put the breadcrumbs, cumin, rosemary, egg yolk, ground meat, salt and ground pepper. Mix it all up with your hands and roll the mixture into balls.
    2. Heat the oven to 200 ºC. Place the meatballs in a greaseproof pan or tray. Cook until well done.
    3. For the tomato sauce, gently fry the garlic and onion with 2 tbsp. olive oil in a heavy bottom pan. Add Paprika, oregano and chopped tomatoes. Stir gently and bring to a boil then add the tomato paste and cook for 10-12 minutes. Add mustard and basil, season to taste then add the remaining olive oil.
    4. Pour tomato sauce over meatballs and sprinkle with some cheese on top.
