- Meatballs in Marinara Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
1 cup of chicken broth
2 chopped onions
2 tsp of minced garlic
1 ½ tsp of paprika
2 tsp of dried basil
1 tsp of salt
1 tsp of black pepper
½ cup of chopped parsley
2 tsp of American Garden Worcestershire sauce
1 can of American Garden Tomato puree
1 can of American Garden whole peeled Tomato
½ kg of lean ground beef
½ cup of American Garden Plain Breadcrumbs
1⁄4 cup thinly chopped onion
1⁄4 cup grated parmesan cheese
2 tbsp. fresh parsley
2 egg whites
1 tsp salt
½ tsp dried basil
1 tsp black pepper
2 tsp olive oil
1 cup of Mozzarella Cheese

Preparation
To prepare Mariana sauce: In a stock pan over medium heat, combine chicken broth, onions, garlic, paprika, basil, salt, pepper. Leave it for 15 minutes, until broth is reduced by half.
Add sugar, American Garden tomato puree and whole tomatoes with their liquid, American Garden Worcestershire sauce and parsley. Leave it half covered on low heat for 30 minutes, until it thickens.
Preparing the meatballs: mix the ground beef, American Garden Plain Breadcrumbs, onion, parmesan cheese, parsley, egg whites mix, salt, basil, and pepper
Shape the mixture into evenly sized balls.
Heat a pan over medium heat and add olive oil, add the meatballs and leave them for 3 to 4 minutes until they gain a golden color
Combine the Mariana sauce and the meatballs in a skillet and add the Mozzarella cheese on top
Put it in the oven for 30 minutes until it’s cooked from the inside.
